Joinery is part of woodworking and involves joining together pieces of wood, resulting in more Wood shapes and forms. In some cases joints can have fasteners, bindings, or adhesives, while others use only wood elements. The characteristics of wooden joints – strength, flexibility, toughness, appearance extra comes  from the properties of the joining materials and from how they are used in the joints. Therefore, different joinery techniques are used to meet differing requirements. An example the joinery used to make a toy is different to the one used when building a house, although some concepts overlap.
